Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal data mahmudhaisan.com collects, why, who it is shared with, and the choices you have. In short: I collect only what I need to reply to you and run the site, I never sell your data, and you can ask me to delete it at any time.

Who is responsible

This website is run by Mahmudul Hasan, an independent WordPress and WooCommerce developer based in Bangladesh. For any privacy question or request, email contact@mahmudhaisan.com.

What I collect

When you use a form

The contact, project, and free scan forms collect:

  • Your name and email address
  • The service you are interested in, your website address, your message, and (optionally) your budget
  • Technical details sent with the form: IP address, browser user agent, the page you came from, the page you were on, and campaign tags in the link (UTM parameters)

Please do not send passwords, payment details, or sensitive personal information through the forms.

When you subscribe to the newsletter

If you sign up, I store your email address, the date, and the page you signed up on, only to send occasional practical tips. You can unsubscribe at any time from any email or by writing to me, and your address is then deleted.

When you browse

  • Analytics: Google Analytics (through Google Site Kit) records pages visited, approximate location, device and browser, and how you arrived, using cookies.
  • Advertising measurement: if enabled, the Meta Pixel (Facebook/Instagram) records page views and when a form is submitted, so I can measure ads. It is only loaded after you accept marketing cookies.
  • Preferences: your light or dark mode choice is stored in your own browser (local storage) and never sent to me.
  • Server logs: the hosting provider keeps standard access logs (IP address, time, page) for security and troubleshooting.

When you buy from the shop

If you use the shop, cart, or checkout pages, WooCommerce stores your order details, billing information, and cookies needed for the cart. Payments are handled by the payment provider; I never see or store your full card number.

Why I use your data

  • To reply and provide services you asked about (steps before entering a contract, and the contract itself).
  • To protect the site from spam and abuse, for example rate limits and spam checks on forms (legitimate interest).
  • To understand and improve the website through analytics (consent where required by law, otherwise legitimate interest).
  • To meet legal obligations, such as keeping invoices for tax purposes.

I do not sell your data, use it for automated decision-making, or add you to a mailing list without asking.

Who your data is shared with

Only with services needed to run this website:

  • Hostinger: website hosting and email delivery.
  • Google: Google Analytics and Google Fonts (your browser loads fonts from Google servers).
  • Meta Platforms: the Meta Pixel, when enabled, for ad measurement.
  • Cloudflare and jsDelivr: content delivery networks that serve animation and scrolling scripts, and Cloudflare Turnstile spam protection when enabled.
  • WhatsApp (Meta): only if you choose to message me on WhatsApp.
  • Payment providers (such as Stripe or PayPal): only if you pay through the shop or an invoice link.

Some of these providers process data outside your country, including in the United States. They use safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.

How long I keep it

  • Enquiries that do not become projects: deleted within 24 months.
  • Client and invoice records: kept as long as tax and accounting law requires.
  • Spam submissions: deleted regularly.
  • Analytics data: kept according to the Google Analytics retention setting (14 months by default).

Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example the EU, UK, or California), you can ask to access, correct, delete, or export your data, object to or restrict how it is used, and withdraw consent at any time. Email contact@mahmudhaisan.com and I will respond within 30 days. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.

Cookies

Analytics cookies are set by Google Analytics. Marketing cookies (Meta Pixel) are only set after you accept them in the cookie banner, and you can change your cookie choice at any time.

WooCommerce sets cookies only on shop pages to keep your cart working. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work.

Security

The site uses HTTPS, spam and abuse protection on forms, login protection, and regular backups. No system is perfectly secure, but I take reasonable steps to protect your data.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with an updated date.
